GeNopsys Technologies, Inc. unveiled the pioneering DWDM all-optical switch data center network system, DOVINSY, integrated with SDN intelligent control, at OFC 2024. This all-optical switching network system effectively surpasses the constraints of existing electrical switching-based technology, delivering outstanding performance in terms of low energy consumption, ultra-low tail latency, high bandwidth, and remarkable scalability. Notably, this technology proves exceptionally advantageous in meeting the demanding requirements of AI data centers, characterized by ultra-high bandwidth and ultra-low latency needs.


The extraordinary growth of AI models poses unprecedented challenges and impacts on existing AI data center network systems. Optical technology, with its high bandwidth and extreme energy efficiency, has emerged as an excellent solution for AI data center networks.


GeNopsys Technologies, Inc. has successfully developed the groundbreaking all-optical switch network system, DOVINSY, featuring high bandwidth (400G/800G per DWDM wavelength, with 64 wavelengths provided), large scalability (supporting over 100K GPUs in architecture), achieving extremely low transmission latency (< 10us), and high energy efficiency (saving 90% power consumption). It fully meets the stringent requirements of current AI data centers. Its performance far surpasses that of electrical switching network systems available in the market. The first set of products is expected to be launched on the market in the first quarter of 2025.
